Nicole is amazing! Since I was coming from CA, my Hawaii wedding was taunting me daily. I was so afraid something would go wrong! But Nicole was there to help in every way possible. Not only did she help with capturing beautiful pictures of my wedding, but she helped me be sure I had everything done. She even helped me get my dress the day of the wedding when we ran into a little disaster, she had her assistant help carry my flowers and she offered words of encouragement. She knew how to capture every special moment. I would recommend her to anyone, friends, family, and every future bride! :)

Nicole photographed our morning wedding ceremony on Polo Beach and we couldn't be happier with the pictures! She was creative and upbeat which made all of the posing and smiling an awesome experience. It was obvious that she genuninely cared how our special day would be remembered. Also, if I could give her 10 stars for flexibility I would because she went above and beyond to work with us on a short time frame to get photos back to us. I highly recommend Nicole!

Nicole photographed our Trash the Dress session in August while we were on honeymoon and absolutely exceeded our expectations. She is a very talented photographer, such a sweet person and her work speaks for itself. Nicole's fun approach definitely made it easy to pose in public. She was very helpful during the planning process, suggesting locations and times to capture the best Maui photography had to offer. We planned the shoot at a beautiful stretch of beach in Wailea and took some amazing pictures. We had tons of fun too! We felt at ease with her right away, and most importantly she truly captured us. She didn't just pose us and take the standard photos, she let us move and do things that were natural to us and you can see the genuine love in our photos because of this. Afterwards, her service was quick and the results were truly stunning. Not only are Nicole's images out of this world, but she is also one of the warmest kind hearted people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Nicole Sanchez captured everything I was hoping my pictures would look like! I was late so we were kind of rushed taking pictures and I wish we could of slowed down because I didn't get some of the pictures I wanted. She was very nice and all of the images were finished very quickly and turned out beautiful. Thank you Nicole!!

All I can say is that it was a blessing to have Nicole as our Photographer. She was fun the entire wedding, the pictures were so beautiful. When I sent to my friends, they all were speachless. Nicole was so helpfull and cheerfull from the time she saw us till she said good bye. The pictures came out way before we were expecting. All I have to say is the PERFECT Maui Wedding Photographer i could ever asked for.

I could just say the best Maui Wedding Photographer, but I want to say more. My wife planned all on her own and as always, she always pick the best of everything. Nicole was amazing. She is a wonderfully sweet and kind person who took the time to make us feel comfortable through the process. She got down and dirty on a rainy day to provide us with the best pictures and make it a day we will never forget. An amazing experience and when you are arranging this from a distance you want to be able to trust someone. Nicole was the best.

We hired Nicole Sanchez from Behind the Lens Maui for our wedding. She met with us before hand to see our personalities and she kept in touch weekly through email just to make sure we didn't need anything. She was very friendly and very professional during the whole process while we changed the plans before and on the day of the wedding. Not only that, but she sat there and listened to me complain about things unrelated to her photography on the day of my wedding. She really took it in stride!!! She has an amazing style and creative ideas and a personality to match. Most importantly, our pictures turned out amazing!!! I would definitely hire her again and again!

I can't tell you enough wonderful things about Nicole. She made us feel so at ease with everything. She did most everything for us: Minister, appt. for our license, our lai's, The permit for the beach. It was such a peace of mind. When we got there she made sure that everything was in order. Reminding me about getting my dress pressed at the hotel. Believe me having a 6 hr time difference can mess with you. The day we got married we ran into some heavy traffic and we were late to our own wedding and we called her and not a sound of stress was in her voice. She said take your time and be careful. Then we get there and get to meet her, she hugged us and just had a great personality and going from rushing to trying to be calm, well she did it. We had the most fun, yes FUN! we laughed a lot and it was the best day of my life. Rod hates to have his picture taken and she was able to even get him to do things and I thought wow she is good! We really loved her and our pictures show it through her eyes to create our story. With out the pictures we would just have a lot of words . we will now be able to have those memories and be able to show our family and friends our day. I don't even know where to begin with my review of Nicole Sanchez and Behind the Lens Maui. As a bride, it is very scary to book a photographer from thousands of miles away with never having met her. Let me put all your fears aside right now! If you are considering Nicole, you have made the right decision! Book her ASAP! Not only is she professional and personable, but her work is amazing. She captured every moment of our special day so perfectly. I can't think of anything that she could have done better. We love our wedding pictures and we had a great time with Nicole! She is a complete joy to work with, she felt like part of the wedding party! I never felt like she was obvious during our ceremony. She took her pictures in a very inconspicuous manner, and never interrupted the flow of the ceremony. When taking pictures after the ceremony, she is quick and gets all the perfect shots! Really and truly I cannot go on enough about how great Nicole is and how amazing her photos are. We are so happy we had Nicole as our photographer and highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! Nicole's work is amazing! My husband and I were married in Maui on May 2, 2011. We were lucky enough to have Nicole as our photographer! Not only did she go above and beyond what we ever expected, she is an exceptional person! Nicole has a great personality and was easy to work with. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable getting our photos taken. Right after our wedding Nicole was in contact with us regarding our photos to answer any questions and assist us in choosing our photos. Once we viewed our photos we were so happy. The photos were beautiful. The detail and color in the photos are immaculate. You can tell that Nicole has made photography her life! Nicole is very efficient and a true professional! I would recommend her in a second! Anyone getting married in Maui needs to hire Nicole as their photographer!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated working with Nicole. Her colour photographs were vibrant and crisp, while the black and white photos captured those subtle details that one wants when viewing many wedding photos. The "trash the dress" experience was intimate and yet so much fun. It was such a great way to celebrate our wedding in beautiful Maui. We could not have received better service. The quality of the photos is amazing and Nicole Sanchez was incredible to work with both up to and during the ceremony.  By the time we actually met on the beach for the ceremony we felt we had made a new friend in her.  By that evening she had emailed us one beautiful photo that we could send on to friends and we had all the rest within a week. We cannot thank her enough for making this such a fabulous experience for us and would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone in the future.   

Maui wedding photographer, Nicole Sanchez, of Behind the Lens Maui, made us feel very comfortable before, during, and after the wedding. She provided advice on the location, explained all details of what we would get and what to expect, and maintained contact as we got closer to the date. She was extremely quick to post our wedding photos (less than 48 hours), which made us and the family happy. The photos were wonderful. I think you can see a lot of "happiness" in the photos. Nice use of lighting. Got both color and a few black and whites, which I loved. My only regret is that I didn't lose a couple more pounds before the wedding!

Nicole from Behind the Lens Maui was the best Maui Wedding Photographer anyone could ask for. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal service on the beach with our kids and some close friends and Nicole's pictures perfectly captured our event and the feeling we wanted. She was so great and flexible to work with, she even asked us what kind of feel we were looking for in our pictures (more formal, staged, natural, fun, all the above). She made us and all our friends feel at ease so all our pictures came out looking natural and captured the spirit of each couple. The pictures at sunset of me and my husband made us look fantastic and a few are certainly tear jerkers because they are so beautiful. I liked her creativeness with the unique shots she took and how she was willing to do any special shots we requested. We recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a photographer that is personable, makes you feel at ease, is fun and creative and captures the real personalities of the folks being photographed. We found her prices very reasonable for the quality of the photos we received. We will use her services again and highly recommend her.

Nichole was fantastic. She shot my son's wedding and did everything we asked and more. Her photos were great and everyone enjoyed her company. She took control when control was necessary and she shot in the background to capture genuine photos that delighted everyone. I could not be happier with the results.
