Photos of a wedding last a lifetime, so it was very important to us to get the right person to do the job. My husband and I Chose Alvarado Photography and boy did we hit the nail on the head!!!!! There were many friends and family unable to attend our wedding due to the fact we live in Texas and chose to have the ceremony in Hawaii. It was therefore very important to us to get the best pictures ever, and we did!! We were blown away by the great variety of shots taken and professionalism of our photographer (Jess).We are so happy with our wedding photos and our family and friends can’t stop commenting on how wonderful they are. Thank you Alvarado Photography for making a special day even that more special, our photos are our most treasured memory of our wedding day.

Alvarado photography is the best!!! Great pictures for a great price. Also you get two photographers for the price of one since it's a two man (actually one woman and one man) team. They give you great direction while taking pictures and know how to get the angles just right. The photographers (who are a husband and wife team) are really nice to work with and make sure to get all the shots you request. They even gave me an additional hour of service for free!!!

I recently worked with Alvarado Photography for my wedding. They are wonderful - Jon and Jess are professional, patient, and do great work. I love their style of photography. They do high quality photographs at a very reasonable rate. Highly recommended for weddings!

We had the BEST experience with Alvarado Photography. We looked at a million wedding photographers on Oahu but as soon as we found Alvarado we knew our search was over. Their photos speak for themselves but when we met Jess and Johnrey, we instantly knew they were the ones we wanted to be there on our special day. They are professional, fun, amazing photographers and wonderful people. Our engagement photos were unbelievable. All of our friends and family said they were some of the best they had ever seen. They went above and beyond to make sure they understood what we wanted in terms of our photos and even called me the day before to check up on me and make sure I was okay before the big day. How sweet! The day of our wedding was so amazing and Alvarado really made us feel at ease. They also moved so quickly and kept us right on schedule. When we got our wedding photos back I cried. They were more beautiful than I ever expected. Trust me, I did my research and when it comes to photography, Alvarado is the BEST on the island for amazing photos and wonderful people :) We look forward to working with them in the future!!!

When looking for a photographer I had very high expectations. I'm very big in to photography and having photographers who were very good at just capturing the moment was a big deal to me. I came across the Alvarado's web site while googling photographers in my area, I instantly fell in love with their portfolio. They were the first I looked at so I explored onto other photographers web sites to see what else was out there, but came back to theirs because really no one else even came class to comparing to their talent. I was in contact with Jess the whole time and she was always prompt at getting back to me, and so kind. My wedding day came and they were there to capture every moment from me getting ready all the way to the end of the reception, they captured the moments so well! The editing of the photos and the angles they used where outstanding! Their creativity and detail was amazing! they exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend them to everyone.

My partner and I were looking for a photographer that had beautiful work that was romantic, beautiful and timeless. Some websites we saw that were affordable were poor quality and downright cheesy! That’s why I was so excited to find Alvarado Photography! We were having a very small ceremony but wanted beautiful pictures and Alvarado Photography offered hourly packages that met our needs perfectly. Since we were travelling to Oahu for our ceremony we only met them the day of our ceremony but Jess was friendly and professional. He and his lovely wife put us at ease and worked seamlessly together. Our officiator ended up being late but Jess adapted easily to changes in plans and things were calm and easy for our special day. When we got to see our proofs for the first time, we couldn’t believe how beautiful they were! We couldn’t have been more pleased and now have the most beautiful keepsakes from our special day 

Many thanks to John and Jess for helping to make our August 2011 wedding so memorable for us! The Alvarado Photography website caught my eye when I was searching for photographers in the Honolulu area. The locations, attention to detail and re-touches were very impressive. My first point of contact was Jess. She was SO helpful and so patient with all my questions and concerns. Living in Arizona, we had no idea where to hold our wedding in Hawaii. After listening to how I pictured my wedding site to be, Jess suggested the Secret Beach. I had a good feeling about her so I felt comfortable taking her recommendation. We’re so glad we did because the site was absolutely amazing! John was a true professional. With so many visitors walking about on the beach, shooting that day was a challenge. John worked around them and our pictures came out so beautifully. We are very impressed and so very thankful! We highly recommend John and Jess to anyone looking for professional photography with amazing attention to detail!

My wife and I found Alvarado Photography online and were very impressed with the quality of work we saw on their website. When we spoke with Jess and John over the phone, we were sold. They were both a joy to deal with. Very pleasant and accomodating. We were planning our wedding in Hawaii from Canada and made many phone calls and emails to Jess and John getting everything set for the big day. We now have the pictures back and they are fantastic. True professionals and just the best people to deal with. All of our guests commented on how great John and Jess were, when getting us all organized for the group shots. John and Jess were amazing. My husband and I had a very short time frame to work with and they were great. We were so uncomfortable at first but, they had us relaxed and laughing in no time. They even managed to get pictures of my husband smiling! A near impossible feat. I spent some time going over reviews of different photographers before I found them. All their reviews were great and the price was more than reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

Me and my husband came to Oahu, Hawaii to get married from England. We had searched the internet for local wedding photographers and came across the Alvarado website. Their galleries really impressed us so we made contact with the company. There is an eleven hour time difference but we were able to communicate with ease. We arranged the time and date for the session and waited. We got back in touch shortly before our journey and again upon our arrival. We met John and Jess on the day of our wedding and they instantly put us at ease. They make a fantastic team, they were full of ideas and were totally in control, they are true professionals. As promised our wedding photos were posted on their website one month after the date of our wedding. We've decided to have them all as we can't choose! The quality of the photography is excellent. We have pictures which capture exactly what we wanted - our intimate wedding in an idyllic setting. Thank you so much John and Jess for capturing our wedding so beautifully x

AP did an amazing job with our wedding pictures. The weather that day was gloomy, wet and windy. However, there is no way you would have ever known through our pictures. Jess and John were so easy and fun to work with. We were able to book everything via email with short notice for our weekday shoot. My favorite part about the shoot was getting wet! They had so many ideas for crazy/fun poses. I will definately use AP again whether we make a trip to Hawaii again or if they come out to San Diego! I can't brag enough about them, I wish they lived closer!

We hired Alvarado Photography to shoot our wedding and could not be happier with the service and quality of work we recieved. We always got quick responses to any questions, and they were happy to work with my videographer. They were friendly and professional which made us feel very comfortable and it shows in our photos. We are really happy with our wedding photos, they are so much better that what we anticipated and will forever remind us of our special day. We had a destination wedding in Honolulu Hawaii we did a lot of research to find a affordable photographer and found Alvarado Photography online. Their online portfolio made up our mind. Jess and John were very professional and whenever we need to contact them they were there for us considering how far away they were. They were so great to work with and were very patient and had so many good ideas and angles for their shots. The pictures turned out PERFECT!! we received them very quickly for them amount of pics there were. I would definitely take pics from them again without thinking twice. I wish I could rate AP with more than 5 stars in all areas! And aside from their 5+ on the categories listed, they were wonderful to work with for so many more reasons. Jess and John Rey captured our personality so wonderfully in our engagement and wedding photos, and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. This was my and my husbands' first time with a professional photographer, and neither of us were sure what to expect. After our mini engagement session, our mind was completely at ease and excitement was building to see the final engagement and wedding pics! Their work is just amazing and I'm so glad we chose AP! I can not say enough about Jess and JohnRey they MADE our wedding! We live in NM and did not now much about the island. Jess was always available to answers question, give suggestions and just be patient. she helped us find our amazing location and wonderful minister. Their photos truly capture our family and our amazing day. We could not have done it with out them and their VERY reasonable prices made our special day possible. This dynamic due is a true gift!

We loved working with Alvarado Photography. They did an amazing job on our wedding photos. I, the bride, was running late (my hair took too long) and was really worried about wasting time and money with the photographers, we only booked the 2 hour package. When I arrived I found out that John had already been taking photos of the groom and his family... I was ecstatic. John even stayed late at no extra charge to get more photos of us. The photos were great and after editing turned out breath-taking. They are so affordable, I researched everyone in Oahu and they had the best photos and just so happens they had lowest price! With their quality of work you can't go wrong. We will definitely use them again. I urge everyone to use them. Especially since this is one of the best moments of your life, you want someone who will capture every moment. Alvarado Photography did that, they got shots we didn't even know would mean so much to us.
