Absolutely Loved Photography

Absolutely Loved was beyond what my husband and I expected. The talent of their work is amazing! Stephanie and Anna are truly gifted photographers. Not only was their professional work outstanding but also their overall personalities and presence. It was so natural and easy to pose for two such lovely individuals. I can't say enough good about the entire experience we had with them.

Picking a wedding photographer is one of the most important aspects of planning a wedding and can seem endlessly daunting at first. The photos are basically all you are physically left with in the end, so you want to make it count. After looking at many different portfolios of Hawaiian wedding photographers, Absolutely Loved was the only one that really stood out for me on an artistic level, as most others seemed very "cookie-cutter" with not a lot of differentiation between them. However, taste is very subjective, and I cannot emphasize the importance of closely looking at and ultimately loving the portfolio of the photographer you decide to go with. As for me, their style and aesthetic is so beautiful and unique that there really was no other choice.Stefanie was my primary contact, and she is an absolute pleasure to deal with. She always replied immediately to any email correspondence and is very kind and accommodating to work with while also being very upfront and honest. We did an engagement shoot a few days before our wedding as well, and Stefanie and Anna are both genuinely great people aside from being fantastic artists. We could not have been more pleased with how awesome the photos turned out for both the engagement and wedding shoot and have received nothing but the highest praise from everyone who has seen them. I should also mention that Stefanie was very cool and perceptive to the idea of allowing me to select a lot of photos to be edited from the raw footage rolls since I am very hands on with an eye for photography myself. We cannot wait to receive our copies of the book to see the final results!

I am a coordinator who worked with Stefanie and Anna for the first time this past Septmeber. They were absolutely FABULOUS! They were always quick to respond to both my client and myself and were so warm and approachable. Stefanie and Anna gave me memories to last a life time! Their shots were very thorough and tell the story of my wedding experience from the time I was getting ready to the bouquet toss. I have a beautiful book from them that I can look at forever and remember our special day. I was very worried when rain was in the forecast since my wedding was outside and I hoped to get some beach pictures of my husband and I. It did rain which was a bummer but they suggested some other shots other than beach ones in between the rain. We have some beautiful romantic pictures of us in an old plantation home that was on the property and some beautiful ones with lit up palm trees behind us. They had to be very creative on this day due to the weather but it turned out just perfect! Their camera quality really shoes too. That is important when selecting a photographer. I highly advise hiring these two!!

I can't say enough good things about Stefanie :-)My wife, Maggie, and I live in Australia but decided to get married in Hawaii. We don't know anyone over there so in preparation for our big day Maggie did a lot of research and "Absolutely Loved" stood out far and above every other photographer we looked at.When we contacted Stefanie we found her to be extremely helpful, patient, prompt, accommodating and professional. She gave us great ideas and advice which all helped to make our wedding day special.On the day of our wedding Stefanie and her assistant were totally fantastic. They arrived at our hotel on time and got straight into their work.After taking shots in our room and around the hotel we all left to go to the ceremony. As it was just Maggie and I we were going to take a cab but Stefanie graciously offered to take us in her car. I certainly didn't expect this but we realy did appreciate it. It also made things easier later as we were planning to do a few location shots after the ceremony and finding cabs to ferry us between them would have been difficult and time consuming.A week after the ceremony Maggie and I were back in Honolulu and were able to catch up with Stefanie to collect the CDs of our photos. When we arrived at her place she had a slide show of her selected shots ready to show us and they were amazing. I'll never forget the happy look on Maggie's face as we were watching them. Every single photo was beautiful and we are so happy with them all. Stefanie, thankyou for capturing our wedding day so perfectly.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend "Absolutely Loved" to anyone looking for a photographer in Hawaii. You just can't go past the best.

My sister, who was my wedding planner, initially contacted Stefanie, and she received an immediate response. Stefanie knew from the outset that our wedding was going to be very informal, and the package we were purchasing was going to be one of the smaller ones she offered. But she never let us feel like we were a "small budget" client. She was always responsive to our questions, ultra helpful and made us feel comfortable from the outset. Neither my sister nor I live in Hawaii, but there was no problem coordinating our schedules on the wedding day. Stefanie and Anna showed up on time, were totally prepared and knew exactly what shots to take and where. We were blessed to have a beautiful sunset that day, and Stefanie knew the precise moment to take the sunset shots! It was impressive! My husband and I had seen her work and knew her photographs were so artistic and everyone looked so glamorous. We were nervous about how we would photograph, whether she would be able to capture any kind of glamour that we had seen in all her other work. Well, she made us look like ROCK STARS! We were so delighted with our photographs. Originally, my husband didn't understand why we needed to spend money on a photographer, but after he saw our photos, he felt it was worth every penny. She really knows how to make people feel at ease so she can get great shots. She and Anna are magicians--they truly transformed two very ordinary people into celebrities--at least for one glorious day!

...we came the long way from Germany to Hawaii and we had a wonderful wedding. Anna joined us for our ceremony at the beach and took perfect pictures. My husband and I came across Stefanie and Anna through our wedding coordinator who spoke very highly of them. Though our coordinator also gave us other vendor’s to choose from, we knew after a few photos and having seen their publications in many magazines that we had found the best!Even with us living so far away, and having to plan our time line out by phone they left us feeling confident.Then, as nervous as a bride may be on her wedding day Stefanie and Anna came in and immediately calmed me over with their kindness and expertise. When we weren’t quite sure how to pose they guided us and while we were enjoying our special day together, with family and friends, they made it all become beautifuly timeless!

We met Stefanie when we first went to Honolulu to look for wedding vendors. We narrowed down the list to a few top photographers within the Honolulu area. (We didn't consider flying in photographers from the mainland and wanted to stay within the local market.) I'm glad we chose Absolutely Loved! Stefanie was very accomodating in meeting us and explaining all the details of her work. She even followed up with our meeting by calling us and then giving us an additional discount due to the recession. She created a package for us that was reasonable. Her daughter, Anna, is an awesome assistant and photographer as well. Even though they have photographed multiple celebrities and their weddings, Stefanie and Anna remain to be extremely down-to-earth. They treat each bride like V.I.P. They make a great team! The photos were abundant and beautiful. Stefanie's the only photographer there that uses infrared... Which is absolutely lovely. It makes the photos appear "heavenly" without photoshop work.

Stefanie and her assistant Ana captured the most amazing pictures and were very easy to work with. All the images were so amazing that it is difficult for my husband and I to pick our favorites. There was an excellent variety of images (candids, posed, scenery, detail etc.) Stefanie's style is photojournalistic. Highly recommended.
