A Rainbow in Paradise Weddings

We used A Rainbow in Paradise to hire our officiant, and a firedancer for the reception. They were so perfect! The ceremony was short and sweet and Ryan Kalama had such a great energy and presence. He went with the flow, did an amazing job of feeling the energy of our guests and playing into that. It was the perfect Ceremony!!! And the firedancer was SUPER AWESOME!!! He brought his whole family along with him, nd his kids got up and did a firedance, he taught us how to open a coconut, and the meaning of the coconut juices on our wedding, and he climbed a palm tree in 2 minutes!!! My friends are still posting on Facebook about it!!! LOL!!! Mahalo to Kalona, Ryan, and the firedancing family for being a part of making my special day so perfectly magical!!!!

Kalona was wonderful from start to finish. Our wedding was so perfect and we had the best day of our lives, all thanks to Kalona. We live in Aus so would not have had a chance of organizing such a wonderful day without the assistance of A Rainbow in Paradise.

We hired Kalona to help us plan our wedding on Kauai. She was with us from the very beginning and kept us on track with our budget and was great at letting us know what needed to be done and when. She did a lot of research to get us the best deals on everything from flowers, to entertainment, to photography. Her contacts on the island of Kauai were fantastic because she knew who to use and what the quality of work would be. She was very quick to respond to emails and called us regularly. Overall we were so happy to have her help with our big day and wouldn't have been able to do it without her. We highly recommend her to any couple who wants to get married on the beautiful island of Kauai.

Kalona planned an amazing ceremony for us from beginning to end, I left her in complete control and trusted her to make all of our dreams come true and she delivered 100 percent. Every wedding guest was blown away by all of the details and they all said it was the best wedding they had been to. I was 100 percent stress free from the moment I contacted Kalona to the actual day of the wedding. My husband and I both agree we would not have changed one thing about the day, if only it could have lasted a bit longer. I will always look back at my wedding day with the happiest memories because of Kalona and her attention to detail and hard work. Thanks again!

I am located in Baltimore and was having a wedding in Kaua'i, an island I have never visited. Kalona planned it all for me from Oahu. Everyone she picked to be part of the wedding--musicians, officiant, photographers---were just wonderful. She was always available to answer any concern or question I had and was really responsive. This was the wedding of my dreams and she was a pleasure to work with!

I highly recommend Kalona for a wedding on Oahu. She was very flexible in working with us given our short timeframe for planning and uncertainty. We had a beautiful small Hawaiian ceremony on Lanikai Beach.

Our dream wedding was possible because of all the help from Kalona!! From talking on the phone to replying to endless emails, Kalona always was friendly and showed us the true Aloha spirit. Our ceremony was everything we wanted it to be, she had everything covered and the day was stress free because we knew we were in such great hands. She met with us the day before at the beach and we invited her to join us for dinner that evening so our family and friends could get to know her. Waimanalo Beach was even more beautiful in person. Do not hesitate to book with her! She was so easy to work with and so willing to help us in any way. We miss her kindness and look forward to returning and stopping by to say hello!

Kalona was kind, friendly, and read both of us very well. She was able to integrate sacred Hawaiian elements into our ceremony without going overboard. The only complaint I think we had was that she was not able to attend the rehearsal, so we had a couple of flubs during the service, but they weren't big mistakes and the ceremony was so beautiful thanks to her. She does charge extra to go to the North Shore, but if you are getting married in Honolulu or on the Windward side, she is definitely the right person to use.
